I just received and installed my amp from Jesse today and WOW!
Crystal clear mids and highs and a deeper more powerful bass... Colour me impressed! I seriously can not believe the jump in sound quality just from upgrading to his enhanced factory amplifier.
Installation took only 20 minutes since his amplifier is OEM with upgraded components, allowing me to just slide it in where my old amp was. Totally worth the money spent!

Got my amp back today from Phantom & I'm totally blown away! 100% satisfied. Clear highs & mids, and I can actually feel some bass. So far, just listened to Nickleback and Simon & Garfunkle - some very demanding music to reproduce. Was thinking of replacing the factory speakers, but not now. I can't believe the difference.

I recently had the factory amp in my 2004 Acura TL upgraded by J. L. Kelley with Phantom Audio. I took before and after videos to showcase the sound quality and differences. Really amazing work!

Here's a breakdown of my experience before and after;
Before:
- Volume level had to be turned up to at least 20 in order to hear the music at higher speeds or with the windows down.
- Could still have a conversation with passengers at 20 volume.
- Treble had a tin sound to it and sounded muffled at higher volumes.
- Bass was there, but wasn't strong.
After:
- Volume is significantly better. At 10 volume level, it sounds like it did at 20 before.
- Harder to have a conversation at 20 volume.
- Treble is crisp and clear, even at high volumes.
- Bass is clean and strong, can actually feel the bass at high volumes.
Settings when I took the videos were as follows;
Bass - 0
Treble - 0
Subwoofer - +6
Volume - 20
Music was played through aux hookup on my phone.

What can I say, I'm not often impressed. I don't know why I'm so even keel and relaxed and meh at times and honestly I've never really thought about it until now...Because I am impressed.
I am so impressed that I've been sitting in my garage blasting paint off the walls with music on level 30. Why? Because I just installed a modified factory amplifier and the matching tweeters from Jesse at Phantom Audio @phantomaudiosound.
I know what you're thinking and no, I didn't get a penny for this review...and as a matter of fact I'm not even one to leave a review, but I feel this is necessary. This is necessary because there are some TL owners out there who have decided their factory tunes are good enough. I'm here to tell you that there is a very affordable way to get big audio sounds from "factory" equipment.
I like my highs bright and my lows dark and damn, I feel like I did a full system in my ride and it took me all of 15 minutes to install. If you have an Acura TL and you want magic and fairy dust to radiate from your stock shit I highly recommend Phantom Audio as a super simple drop in solution.
Oh, and crank "low life" by Future to about 27. You're welcome.

I have been talking to Jesse for about a year now about all things audio and became extremely impressed with his passion for engineering, knowledge of the audio industry and the need for the highest quality componentry. I have a 2012 TL with ELS which I thought was impressive stock.
Jesse recommended the alpine sub/audiocontrol amp package along with a completely rebuilt OEM amp. I am extremely selective of who works on my car and didn’t trust any of the local shops with an intricate install as this. Jesse said he would make the 9 hour trip to the philly area from Indy to do in the install, which was mind-blowing in and of itself.
Fast forward a few months and we set up a day and (not surprisingly) he made the install look easy. The best part is that everything looks OEM. No big sub boxes filling up the trunk or exposed amps and the best part - no rattles(with the help of sound deadening material).
The output was amazing and was night and day compared to the OEM setup. The highs, mids, and lows are more pronounced than ever. His work literally speaks for itself. I would recommend this setup to anyone with a 4G TL!

Prior to installing the JL Kelley signature series amplifier, I was not happy with the stock audio in my 2008 TL. Boomy, unclear bass, and overly sharp highs...
I knew that the audio in my car could be way better. Initially I wanted to replace all of my speakers and subwoofer, but after speaking to Jesse he convinced me a simple amplifier upgrade was what I needed to get the biggest improvement for the cost.
Not only did he save me a TON of money compared to going to a shop, I was completely blown away when I listened to the upgraded sound system! If you're seriously looking to upgrade your stock car audio, I highly recommend Phantom Audio!

Man is a wizard on the level of non other than Harry Potter......all I can say is that after I installed the amp he upgraded for my 13' Civic Si, music sounds like I slipped on a high end pair of over the ear headphones.

Ever since I bought my 05 Acura TL, I thought the stock sound system sounded terrible. Everything sounded muffled and my driver door speaker was really quiet. I installed the Phantom Audio Signature amp for the TL. As soon as I turned in my stereo, all I could say is “WOW, I have highs I can hear”. Plus, the driver side door speaker sounds better now.

Turning the stereo on for the first time after getting the amp back from Phantom Audio was a surreal experience. I imagine the experience was similar to someone who is colorblind seeing colors for the first time. I honestly had no idea recorded music could sound so clear or so real or so dynamic. It sounds better than the the pair of $400 headphones I used to own. I am seriously blown away and elated by the music coming out of my speakers. I spent HOURS today just sitting in the car listening to all my old albums like it was the first time I heard each song.
If you own an Acura and ever listen to the stereo, you need to send the amp to Jesse. You'll get it back in a couple days ready to plug it back in and have your mind blown.
