The 2023 rerelease of the Integra featured the 3D Studio Audio system. Many customers came to us wanting to improve it and prevent it from failing under stress, so we went to work. The design of the components suffers from cost-cutting measures by the manufacturer. This forces the customer to turn up the volume louder to compensate for a lack of output and pleasurable sound stage. The units have advanced board designs and componentry that increase heat as the amplitude increases. After much R&D we were able to reduce this issue. It should be noted that the amplifiers are not interchangeable. It is important to verify your exact package for accurate fitment. We are NOT repairing failed units at this time.
This upgrade is the only level we offer as it takes full advantage of the Studio audio with upgraded passive components, operational amplifiers from general purpose to an audiophile grade chipset from Burr Brown and careful attention to the coupling and decoupling capacitors. This will raise the floor level and expand the sound stage giving you wider, deeper and more natural dynamic range.
What you can expect:
Increased output. There is an average of 6-8wpc increase in power output.
Your sound stage will be wider with an audible improvement in frequency range. You will notice warmer and more detailed midrange, more controlled and less "bright" high frequency range, and tighter, more authoritative bass.
