The 2018-2020 Acura TLX Technology and Advanced Model Signature Amplifier is the last fully-analog unit which is designed to run the ELS system well. However the design of the components suffers from cost-cutting measures by the manufacturer. The 2014 units have advanced board designs and componentry over the 2nd generation models, making them awesome platforms on which to tune. It should be noted that the amplifiers are not interchangeable. It is important to verify your exact package for accurate fitment.
The elite series features upgraded operational amplifiers from general purpose to an audiophile grade chipset from Burr Brown. This will raise the floor level and expand the sound stage giving you wider, deeper and more natural dynamic range.
Another important note is that the tweeters in the TL are driven by the amplifier, but they are sent a full-range signal. The factory tweeters house their own capacitors to filter which control the frequencies they reproduce. J. L. Kelley offers a tweeter upgrade which is optional.
What you can expect:
Increased output. There is an average of 6-8wpc increase in power output.
Your sound stage will be wider with an audible improvement in frequency range. You will notice warmer and more detailed midrange, more controlled and less "bright" high frequency range, and tighter, more authoritative bass.
We ship INTERNATIONAL. With customers from Hong Kong to Australia we are able to service anywhere on the globe.
With over 5000 satisfied customers, we can confidently offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our products, please let us know! We will work to take excellent care of you.
A note on speakers:
The factory Acura soundstage and imaging as designed by Elliot Schneider is impeccable. The placement and angle of each component is designed to make the greatest auditory experience possible. And as much as the amplifier tuning improves the overall sound of the system, the speakers make an even greater advancement in the overall sound quality. Look up Phantom Audio Tweeters, Drivers, and Subwoofers to bring your listening experience to an entirely new level.

2018-2020 ACURA TLX TECHNOLOGY AND ADVANCED MODEL SIGNATURE SERIES AMPLIFIER
I recently replaced my 2019 Acura TLX Advance Technology amp with the Phantom Audio upgraded model. I bought this car last year and since then, I was unhappy with the sound of the stereo system. I could not adjust the system eq levels to get a balanced, full sound. I felt that the system was very thin in the bass and very harsh in the mid-range and higher frequencies. I was surprised by this since I owned a 2008 Acura TL with the ELS system, and I loved the sound. I thought maybe it was me as one's hearing changes as they get older. I started researching this online through the TLX community forums and found that many people had similar concerns with their system. This is where I learned about the Phantom Audio replacement upgrades. This immediately caught my interest as it offered a way to replace the amp (root cause) instead of the speakers and sub which could be very expensive and may not produce the result I was seeking. It is the actual Acura Amp which has been modified with much better hardware inside which improves the overall performance of the Amp. It really brings out the separation of sound and clears up any "harshness" coming from the speakers. The bass is much fuller and balanced. It was a little bit challenging to remove and replace the amp as it sits a little high up under the glove compartment. I was able to remove the three nuts with a good ratchet and extension. It was difficult to lay down and see up there and stretch your arm, but I'm still limber enough and was able to do it. I had to do it twice though, once to take the original one down and photograph the model number as this is necessary for Jesse (owner) to replace it with the appropriate model. I ordered the model with upgrades and received a significant discount if I was able to mail back the original to Jesse. (If I was unable to make the switch, I would still have paid a professional to do it as I believe it was worth it.) He uses these amps to modify for future orders. I then received the modified amp after about ten days and installed the new one. I noticed the difference right away. Every problem that I had with the sound of the original was virtually solved. Jesse was very good a communicating with me, answering all my questions and assuring me that this would make my stereo sound so much better. He was absolutely right!! He said it only gets better once you have 40 to 50 hours of play time as the new components "burn in" and become more effective. I am so happy with the $590 investment that I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an upgrade. The existing speakers and sub-woofer which are stock sound good enough that I may not replace them. Phantom does offer upgraded speakers if one wants that as well. Thank you, Jesse and Phantom Audio, for everything!!! Paul
